sneak view into the party of different yet very similar

This Friday evening calls for a party... like most.. but the special guests are nevertheless forgotten in all. It was one my sardar friends who is doind his PHD in "How Insects Fly" from US. The other lesser recognised but yet more special guest was Mr. Rawat who has just finished his last day at Inductis aka EXL and may his bash with us too. But the beauty of these parties is never in giving special attention to those special guests but actually to greet them very warmly in the beginning and then saying good bye more warmly. In between can be considered as a hindi movie song in which all the characters tried to dance. I felt after this party that it was probably the very last of events when I am meeting so different yet very similar people. One going to US for 6 months, one will stay in India and do consulting for probably rest of his life, one will soon rise fast enough in the company and will shift jobs, one doing PHD, one going for IIMC, one struggling to convince his parents to find a match and the last but not the least I, who will leave the job shortly and is thinking of cracking the toughest exams in probably the whole world. As I said, all are very similar, for once upon a time they all joined the same job, does similar things and have similar passions for life. But as they, each life is journey which starts and ends at exactly same spot via different routes.

veg - nonveg

We people..especially we Indians ...distinguish ourselves from others on the basis of what we eat...either veg or non veg. But this is not something that we are going to discuss. What I want to highlight is the fact that we really feel proud or in other words - top of the heap!!! Because non veggies kill and we don't. However, what we don't want to acknowledge is the fact that we too kill. The only difference is we kill plants.. which actually is worst as they are those who can't even cry. And yes we are really proud of that...May be its our religion that teaches to hunt those who can't run, who can't scream for help.
In my view, all foods are good and equal. And we have already created so many things to divide people like caste, money, power, status that we should try to create no more. Lets have respect in whatever we eat and from now on is any one asks who are you - veg or non veg... reply straight " I am a foddie"
